Jeremy Girard

Director of Marketing

I have been at Envision since:

Hobbies, activities, or interests:

I love to travel with my family and share my experiences with others. In fact, my wife and I recently started a website logging our various travel adventures at

I also play the ukulele and have a collection of action figures that would make my 12-year old self weep tears of joy.

Interesting story or fact about me:

I was born with six toes on each foot. The extra toes were removed before I was a year old, leaving me with normal feet. I blame my lack of superpowers on this surgery. I know that had I been allowed to keep those extra toes, today I would be an awesome crimefighter (and this designer gig would just be my secret identity).

Professional summary:

Jeremy Girard has been designing, primarily for the Web or the screen, since the late 1990s. During that time he has designed and developed websites, touch-screen kiosk interfaces, digital signage content, logos, print materials, trade show displays, and more.

Jeremy came to Envision in 2008 as the company's Creative Director. In 2011, he was promoted to the Director of Website Design and Development, charged with leading those services for Envision's clients. In early 2013, Jeremy was named Envision's Director of Marketing, a role he filled while also continuing to lead the organization's website services. He served this dual role until late 2016, when he transitioned his responsibilities to focus full time on Envision's marketing efforts.

In addition to his work at Envision, Jeremy is also an educator and author. He taught web design and front-end development at the University of Rhode Island for over 7 years and is a regular contributor to leading industry publications, including Smashing Magazine, UXPin, The Next Web, and, where he spent 3 years as their "Web Design & HTML Expert." Jeremy speaks at various events and maintains a personal site and blog where he writes about his life and experiences and the interesting ways those experiences influence his work as a designer.
