Hobbies, activities, or interests:
I love to cook. I enjoy experimenting with different ways to cook. Besides the normal kitchen oven and gas grill, I have a charcoal smoker, an electric smoker, a sous vide cooker, and a small pizza oven. I also enjoy experimenting with new ingredients and blending culinary cultures (Southwest pad thai, anyone?)
Interesting story or fact about me:
I am a big Star Trek and general sci-fi fan. I have been to several conventions but the most fun was the one at the Las Vegas Hilton. The Star Trek convention was there at the same time as the Elvis impersonators convention. It was quite the experience.
Professional summary:
I went to college long after high school. I earned a BS in Network Engineering and shortly thereafter a Master's degree in Teaching and Learning with Technology. I've used the Master's degree far more than the Network Engineering degree in my time teaching at Johnson & Wales.
