Jay Longley, Senior Account Consultant, will be presenting "Securing the Future: AI, Cybersecurity, and the Critical Role of Compliance". Jay will discuss the current state of AI and the necessity of compliance, particularly in the realm of cybersecurity.

As AI continues to evolve, its integration into various applications presents new risks, making compliance essential to mitigate potential threats. We’ll explore key foundational elements of cybersecurity that will assist with understanding what sensitive data you have (201 CMR 17 / HIPAA / Etc), and how to manage it with sensitivity labels, communication compliance, and classifiers. We will be demonstrating their importance through practical examples and demos that assess risks. We’ll also showcase phishing demos that use AI prompts to craft deceptive emails.

This presentation will extend to the dark web, with a focus on what happens to your data once it is taken by a threat actor. We will demonstrate a "leak site", illustrating the real dangers of data leaks and unauthorized access. These examples reinforce the critical need to secure data at the data level, rather than relying solely on network-level defenses. The overall message emphasizes the importance of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) as the cornerstone of both cybersecurity and AI. The key takeaway is the pivotal role that GRC plays in safeguarding sensitive information in an increasingly AI-driven landscape.
